Summary

ExifGuard is built to keep photos on your device. Image bytes are read and written in browser memory. This site does not provide a server API that receives your files, and it does not create user accounts.

Images and metadata

When you use the studio, selected files stay in the current browser tab. Closing the tab discards that session. Downloads happen only when you choose Download, Apply & Download, or a ZIP export.

Maps

If a photo contains GPS coordinates and you view the location map, map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap. Those tile requests can include the approximate map area you are viewing. If you do not open a location map, those requests are not made.

Hosting and logs

The website files themselves are served by whatever host you visit. Hosts commonly keep standard web logs such as IP address, browser type, and requested URLs. Those logs are about page visits, not about the contents of photos you process locally.

Advertising

Advertising is not enabled unless the site operator configures a Google AdSense client. If ads are enabled later, Google may use cookies or similar technologies as described in Google's advertising policies. You can review ad personalization settings in your Google account.

Questions

This policy describes how the public ExifGuard site works. It does not collect photo files or account data.
